Sarah is all things I respect and love in a primary care provider - very knowledgeable, up to date on research/treatment protocols, creative with her approach in naturopathy as well as traditional meds as needed/appropriate, a wonderful listener and collaborator, down-to-earth - a wonderful ND and person! She excels at hormones - so refreshing for these perimenopause years! Just got hormone pellets inserted (super easy and virtually painless!) and am so excited to feel the difference!

This place is so unprofessional, I would not trust them with my care. I scheduled an appointment for an Iron infusion and was told to upload all my labs so that Dr. Larson can review them before my appointment. I uploaded everything and filled out all the forms per the instructions given. The next day I got a call from Claudia telling me that my labs were not sufficient. As I was asking questions and trying to understand what exactly was needed, she started talking to me in an extremely aggressive and rude manner. She even spelled out her words for me, CBC, Cat…Boy…..Cat. Not only was she not understanding what I was asking, but her rude demeanor and how dismissive she was is not how any new patient should be made to feel. When I told her I didn’t appreciate the bad customer service and attitude when I was just trying to understand, she replied with people like you rule the world evidently. Stay away from this office. If this is how they talk to patients, I can only imagine what kind of medical care they give. Claudia was one of the worst receptionists I have ever talked to, she definitely needs additional training in customer service and how to talk to patients on the phone. It’s a shame this office and Dr. Larson have to be represented by this inexperienced/incompetent individual.

DO NOT GO HERE. I recently started seeing Dr. Larson after my previous naturopath stepped away from this practice to start her own. Not once have I been offered any kind of natural option for anything. Isn't that what naturopaths are for? I originally wrote this review and it was so long I ran out of room. Let me summarize. Sara Larson attempted to give me a pelvic exam, and it was the most painful, uncomfortable, strange exam that I've ever had. And I've had exams every year for the past 26 years. She wasn't even able to complete the pap. I also asked for certain testing, and she just had me do a urine test, which in this case doesn't not even trst for the things I wanted. I've had several health issues going on, and I tried to talk to her about them, bit she stopped me and said I would have to make an appointment for each individual symptom, because she wouldn't get paid otherwise. HER WORDS. She completely disregarded my concerns and only cares about if she's getting paid properly. I then had a missed appointment, due to the fact that I had to schedule so many and this one got missed. When my alarm for the appointment went off, I immediately called. No answer. I called 8 times. Apparently on Fridays they turn the phones lines off. Later I received a call from Claudia. She was nothing but combative and rude. She said this was my second strike and I could be terminated as a patient. Wow Claudia! Really? I didn't even know i had any "strikes" She then went on to question me about why I even made the appointment in the first place. I told her it was a follow up, as directed by Sara Larson, and she proceeded to say there was absolutely no reason for me to be seen again. OK CLAUDIA. Is she the doctor now? When I have health issues that need follow up and discussion? So unprofessional and just plain nasty and rude. I messaged Sara with my concerns, and she encouraged me to reschedule. We'll, I really did need to be seen, and so I did. HUGE MISTAKE. I was met with fake fake fake smiles. I am very good at picking up on people's vibes, and Claudia and Sara both were just fake as can be. I told Sara my health concern, and she took me to an exam room, took one look downstairs, and immediately diagnosed me with a stage 3 bladder prolapse! I was in shock, in tears, trembling. She then referred me to the worst possible women's clinic in Vancouver, told me to do some kegel exercises, and sent me on my way. Explaining that this would lead to surgery. I was so shook. I took it upon myself to find an appropriate OBGYN, and by luck I found an amazing doctor who saw me the next day. GUESS WHAT???? NO PROLAPSE. Not only did this doctor give me a completely painless pelvic exam, she also was able to complete a completely painless pap, and explain that there was absolutely no prolapse. HOW DID SARA DO SUCH A BAD JOB? She literally misdiagnosed me with something this serious. She had me believing that my bladder was literally falling out of my body. Is this someone you would want to trust with your health? Takeaway: Sara fake. She pretends to cater to the more natural side, but actually just hands out prescriptions like any MD Claudia in the office is a rude, nasty person. Reading a previous review from a patient confirms exactly what I experienced with her. Sara has no business doing pelvic exams. She clearly doesn't know her way around a woman's anatomy. Sad really I was completely misdiagnosed with a pretty severe thing, went through stress and trauma for nothing, couldn't eat or sleep, all because Sara is incompetent. Save yourself and find a competent clinic, with a REAL doctor, and caring staff.

I AM SO GRATEFUL! Sorry for yelling, but finding Emerge has been a gift from above. Going through cancer treatment is hell. Going through it alone, as a single person, is a special kind of hell. Dr. Larson's humor, warmth, compassion and expertise have made the side-effects a little less terrible and the experience a whole lot better than it could be. She saw me pre-mastectomy, post mastectomy, with hair and without, with an unmarred body and now an incredibly scarred body, and helped me find the beauty and courage within. I was recently admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery and she called to check on me throughout my recovery, waived my no-show fee, and hugged me when I was finally able to make it back in for treatment. I look forward to my weekly appointments for a boost to my spirits and a reduction in my pain. Thanks, Dr. Sarah, for everything! I also see Dr. Lamont-Mitchell for Neurofeedback. It has helped relieve the brain fog associated with chemotherapy. I find our appointments relaxing, informative and helpful. Dr. Lamont-Mitchell does his research and turned me on to some affordable supplements that I pick up online--he's not in it for the add-ons--I never leave feeling like I'm being upsold. In fact, I rarely leave with products, just feeling a little lighter and a lot less chemo-brainy. Thanks for being honest, Dr. Greg! I had to fight to find a good oncology care team but Emerge has been a reliable friend and constant source of help and relief. I walk in and feel like Norm from Cheers, Claudia and Coco light up in welcome greeting, and if one of the docs is between patients, they pitch in with more good cheer. The Emerge Natural Health Care Team are beyond excellent. 💗

I love that Sarah is multi-faceted in her approach to health. She offers a variety of traditional and non-traditional approaches to health. This is important because we (humans) are not one-size-fits-all when it comes to health.
